We love our community….

Durban is a town of creators and crafters, with the Bluff being one of its oldest suburbs…Because of the local demand from our community, it was important to offer a wide range of wool and haberdashery supplies at the best prices!

once upon a time on the bluff….

 

The idea of establishing the Mudpie Company came about as result of two little cousins spending many happy hours crafting mudpies from Durban’s red earth. Our company started as a creative space for cousins Jo-Ann and Tracy to share their crafting and design passion with their Mothers Tilly and Bettie….now it is so much more!

In 2018, we moved from our humble little wooden cabin to our beautiful new shop at 763 Marine Drive on the Bluff, just down the road from the Bluff Lighthouse….and nothing can stop us now!

Our crafty club…

Since we opened, we host a Wednesday group of committed crafters at 10am to 12 noon in our little shop on Marine Drive to share craft ideas, enjoy a cup of tea and teach each other new techniques in crafting.  All are welcome, come and join us!

Our community outreach….

We participate in several worthy outreach initiative being run on the Bluff – Teaching women how to sew, crochet or knit. We have participated in several community projects over the years – like teaching women how to sew re-usable sanitary towels and matching draw string bag.
